Write like no one is reading.
Stalling already but, well, this is for me really so I'm just going to let it flow.
Ha, that picture make me smile, the massive grey streak from months of lockdown, but a beaming smile after my first half in a while with my best time in just over 2 hours.
My initial blog about running was 1kandagooddeedaday.blogspot.com, I was trying to run 1k a day and do a good deed too.
Simple in theory, but when it came to it, I couldn't be arsed to run every day. I don't have the need to do a run streak (to run every day for days, months, even years on end), wine and a good time has always got in the way.
Also the good deeds were a challenge, beyond doing beach cleans and picking up other people rubbish, I struggled to find the oomph to do other things. Covid also had a hand in that because, well, I don't need to tell you about all the things Covid has stopped for us.
Running has really saved me, BC (Before Covid), it helped me realise a lot, it helped me put a lot into perspective, it helped me heal. Literally running away has helped me run towards a future I would have never has if I had stayed where I was. Stagnant.
I run, when I like, where I like, for me.
I might run like some sort of pre-historic dinosaur, with my limbs all over the place but I run for me.
I run like no one is watching, but if you are, I dare you to join me.
