Pain

After feeling sorry for myself last week and having a run break (due to a couple of hangovers...), I'm getting back into it. Although my body is punishing me for it and causing me aches and pains I haven't felt in a long time!  Lockdown is lifting slowly, the future looks brighter again, the nights are getting lighter and everything feels a bit more positive again.  Hold on, keep running.

Expectations

Nah

SILENCE!

I tried running without music today and it will never happen again! I admit, it was not by choice. The battery on my phone was low and everyone knows, if your run is not recorded on Strava (or other running app), then it didn't happen. So I sacrificed my music to save some battery life. Today I learnt that the sound of my heavy breathing and the occasional bird chirping is NOT enough to keep me going on a run. I don't have the need to do a run streak (to run every day for days, months, even years on end), wine and a good time has always got in the way.  Also the good deeds were a challenge, beyond doing beach cleans and picking up other people rubbish, I struggled to find the oomph to do other things. Covid also had a hand in that because, well, I don't need to tell you about all the things Covid has stopped for us.  Running has really saved me, BC (Before Covid), it helped m...
